PATHWAYS TO ENGINEERING

OVERVIEW

The aim of this programme is to provide a pathway for people who want to start on a career in an engineering field. Applicants will be introduced to engineering topics at an introductory level. It will prepare learners for the study and discipline requirement for a full-time, third level course of study.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Learners should ideally hold Leaving certificate or equivalent or completed a major level 4 in an engineering related field. Learners who can produce documented engineering related work experience will also be considered for this course.

Aptitude: Learners must pass a maths aptitude test. This test will assess maths to the Junior Certificate standard.

Previous Experience: Engineering related work experience is desirable but not essential.
